Chantilly Maximalist Chintz - White & Green BTY

ABOUT THE DESIGN

A vibrant “French fit” pattern with old English roses the size of your head! Designed to make a fabulous first impression for entry halls or a lovely and uplifting moment for upholstered chairs.

Named for the Parisian Prince de Conde, Chantilly was a once great Westmoreland County wood frame house on Virginia’s Potomac River. Ravaged by British canon shells during the War of 1812, Chantilly was not rebuilt after the devastating effects of war.

KK’s Chantilly Maximalist pattern is a remix of Chantilly Minimalist, which is inspired by the popular volumes of hand painted and engraved natural history plates of the late-18th century that would have been popular in households such as Chantilly.

Fabric notes: Otherwise known as chintz, glazed cotton has many favorable qualities in addition to its signature sophisticated sheen. We love the fact that its wax coating makes this fabric inherently water and stain resistant. Similar to a waxed Barbour coat, chintz is a particularly hard-wearing ground and will age gracefully with use.
